Found Crypto.com Arena Location - BOXING HISTORY OF DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES Adventure Lab Cache
( # 00000 )
After taking the Metro downtown, mdawaffe and I were walking by on a rainy Saturday morning on our way to the GRAMMY museum to take advantage of the SoCal Museums Free-for-All day. The statues were definitely a draw for passing muggles, and mdawaffe was pleased to be able to answer the question before seeing the signage. Thanks for the history.

Happy Spring! Although mdawaffe and I arrived early for a pre-Event caching walk to earn our March Equinox souvenir, by the time we made it to the patio, the party was already in full swing as we squeezed in the maximum number of chairs around one table. Hooray for being able to escape the din inside! And the extra daylight hours were definitely welcome as well as we caught up with Leap Day shenanigans and chatted about grand eclipse plans. It's always fun to welcome new faces, and thanks so much for hosting!

mdawaffe and I had fun trying to come up with the best worst answer for the hint, none of which helped us find the cache, of course. But we didn't have any trouble with the quick find as we stretched our legs before The Boat M&G, enjoying the extra daylight hours now that spring has sprung. Thanks so much!

mdawaffe and I parked early at The Boat and walked over to this new hide, splitting up to search two likely options once we got close. My side revealed the prize, and as this was the first stop of our potential Star Tours itinerary, we had acquired the necessary documents before leaving home to swap stamps for a smooth trip through customs. Thanks so much for introducing us to the series and for the fun!

I knew from previous logs that this wouldn't be an obvious hide, so mdawaffe and I fired up our geosenses as we approached. And sometimes you DNF a 1/1 hide, and sometimes you immediately notice an intriguing possibility and find the sneaky cache in the very first place you check. Ah ha, nicely done! Coords were great, and we appreciated our good luck as we inked our names. Thanks so much for the fun as we work toward our March Equinox souvenir before the monthly SGV Meet & Greet.

Did I choose a smog check place based on its proximity to a new geocache? Well, no, I picked it because of great online reviews, but this was a nice bonus while we waited. mdawaffe and I definitely took advantage of the hint for a quick find, and thanks so much for highlighting the art.

This Event close to home is always on my calendar, and it was fun to see this month's attendees, including some (dragged along?) visiting family. Looks like we all survived the time change! Leap Day and the upcoming eclipse (we'll be out of town for next month's TT) and of course GWXX dominated the discussion over the always tasty offerings, and thanks so much for hosting!

This looked so close on the map as mdawaffe and I enjoyed a short walk in Griffith Park, but we definitely had a "Now how do I get there from here?" moment. We knew this cache wasn't recommended in a car, with no place to park, but since we were on foot, we added it to the list. But with no sidewalk, not much shoulder to speak of, and sloping terrain, it was a bit of a struggle to reach, and a bicycle is definitely the best way to go. We made it, though, and we weren't leaving without a find, even if none of our early ideas panned out, and our coordinates kept jumping. Eventually, though, I realized I'd actually already seen the container from the road but dismissed it as litter a bit too far away. An expanded search and closer investigation, though, revealed our prize in good condition, and we happily added our names to the log. Thanks for the adventure!

Luckily there weren't any muggles around as mdawaffe and I reached the equipment on our walk through the park, and we definitely used the hint to narrow our focus. It didn't take long to check the correct spot, and thanks so much for the find on a beautiful afternoon.

It was a lovely day for a walk in the park, and mdawaffe and I enjoyed the chance to stretch our legs after a nearby errand. We had to wait out several passing muggles, but eventually the coast was clear for the search. Coordinates were good, but the detailed hint was very helpful, and we definitely appreciated the recent visitors for their excavation work that led to us having an easier find. Thanks so much!
