Current Goal

To travel the world finding caches located near light houses and sunken ships. Visits to marine museums, coast guard facilities and other marine related activities/facilities would be especially appreciated.

Replacement Coin

After the apparent theft of two of my Michigan Coins I decided to use these non-trackable coins to replace them, if you come across either of the original coins please contact me so I can retrieve the replacements and get the real coins back out there.

Fort Gratiot was an American stockade fort in Michigan constructed in 1814 as an outpost to guard the juncture of the St. Clair River and Lake Huron. The fort was named after the engineer supervising its construction. It was occupied until 1822, then reoccupied from 1828 and was in use off and on through the Civil War until 1879 when it was abandoned.

The Fort Gratiot Lighthouse was built north of the fort in 1825. Pine Grove Park occupies part of the fort site. Some houses north of the park are thought to be the former Officers' quarters. The site of the fort is located in what is now Fort Gratiot Township, Michigan near Port Huron.
