Todie's Wild Ride coins are being released all over the country and the world to promote Biker Awareness. They are released in loving memory of Todie Phillips of Manitou Beach, Michigan--Tod of Team Rod and Tod w/KAboom...the Cachestalkers. Tod died in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 12, 2008 when a truck turned in front of him and he tried to avoid it. Even though Tod was wearing a novelty helmet that wasn't DOT approved when he died, this accident was preventable if the truck driver had been paying attention.

Riley the Geodog has a tip for approaching dogs too "If you’re riding through a neighborhood and a dog starts to chase you, don't become distracted and don't kick at a dog. As you approach a dog, downshift. When you reach the dog, accelerate quickly away. The dog will see you speed off and will quickly lose interest in you." This tip will keep you safe on your motorcycle as well as help keep our four legged friends safe.

Please do not keep this coin as we want it to travel the world from cache to cache to remind people about motorcycle safety. Please help keep our roads safe and watch out for motorcyles!!

Well, we were going to drop this one off at our cache near the "World Famous" Iron Horse Saloon, but I see it was JUST IN the greater Daytona Beach area so we dropped it off here instead.
