Capitana Medallion Treasure Geocoin
The 1733 Fleet was the third major treasure fleet of the Spanish Armada to encounter disaster and hurricanes after the 1622 loss of the Atocha and accompanying galleons and the 1715 Plate Fleet loss. The makeup of the Spanish Treasure Galleons included a Capitana and Almiranta which were carrying chests of New World gold and silver coins, bars, jewelry, emeralds, pearls and porcelain as well as spices, cocoa and other New World goods. Both the Capitana and Almiranta carried the bulk of the treasure for these fleets as they were the most heavily armored galleons.
This coin features the most stunning artifact recovered from the 1733 fleet by modern treasure salvors, the Capitana or "Blackjack" (named after the finder Haskins) religious medallion. While we have taken creative license by encrusting it with simulated emeralds, these were common on Spanish Treasure Galleons.
Creators note: We will have a series of three trackable coins designed by us, that are dedicated to the Florida shipwreck treasures. We wanted to come up with a geocoin that included our two hobbies, that are very similar, treasure hunting and caching. We are intersted in Mel Fisher and his search for spanish shipwrecks.

Reale Treasure Cache Geocoin (Sold out)
Gold Escudo Treasure Cache Geocoin (Sold out)
