Die coin soll viele Caches in Deutschland besuchen.
Und von seiner Reise Fotos schicken.
Im Sep. 2008 möchte die coin zurück in einen Cache von Risou nach Berlin.
The coin should hiking through many caches in Germany.
And send pictures from his journey.
In September 2008 shall the coin come back to Berlin in one of the caches from Risou.

Diese Geocoin wurde im Auftrag von www.geoclub.de, dem größten deutschsprachigen Geocaching-Forum, entworfen.
Sie ist eine Homage an Carl Friedrich Gauß, der bei Geocachern vor allem durch das von ihm zusammen mit Johann Heinrich Louis Krüger entwickelte Gauß-Krüger-Koordinatensystem bekannt ist.
Dieses Koordinatensystem wird besonders im deutschsprachigen Raum seit 1923 genutzt. Sehr viele amtliche topografische Kartenwerke bauen auf dem Gauß-Krüger-Koordinatensystem auf.
Bekannt geworden ist Gauß jedoch als einer der genialsten Mathematiker, die je gelebt haben. Darüber hinaus war er unter anderem ein erfolgreicher Astronom.
