The mission of this travel bug is to travel from town to town, having her picture taken with other fire trucks. She would like to have those pictures posted up on the web.

About This Item

That's me in the driver's seat

This is a matchbox car of an old fire engine, similar to the one that my dad had bought when I was a kid. It was Rockland, Massachusetts' first motorized fire engine, a 1912 American LaFrance Chemical wagon. His desire was to restore it back to as original as he could. That dream was never fulfilled, as he passed away in 1987. Before I saw the building it was in come down around the old engine, I had it restored by a gentleman and it is on permanant loan at the New Bedford Fire Museum, along with many other old pieces. It looks great and my family and I are happy to see my father's dream come true! OLD MAUD (the name of the engine), Lives On!

This trackable was not seen in cache XMAS2008 - 21 - Den onde nabo when crowlee visited 08/27/2013: burken var öppen och loggboken saknas = the can was open and the log book missing. Fritid1646 logs on 08/29/2013: Lätt hittad fast den behövs kollas av ägaren ingen loggbok var helt tom burk = Easily found, but it needs to be checked by the owner, no log book, was completely empty can.
