Der
„Nasse Wolkenbruch“ ist ein Erdfall (auch Doline genannt), der vor einigen Jahrtausenden
entstand.
Im Untergrund
hatte Grundwasser das Zechstein-Salz ausgewaschen und eine Druse
gebildet.
Die
darüberliegende Buntsandsteinschicht brach ein und es entstand ein
Trichter mit
ca. 150 Metern
Durchmesser.
Heute ist der
Einsturztrichter zu einem Drittel mit Wasser gefüllt.
Die Bäume am
oberen Kraterrand sind 200-300 Jahre alt.

The
„Nasser Wolkenbruch“ is a sinkhole (also called doline) which origin was many thousand years
ago.
In
the underground water washed out the Zechstein and built a cave or druse.
The
Buntsandstein above collapsed and a
doline with approx. 150 meters diameter
arose.
Today
the doline is filled a third with
water.
The
trees around are 200-300 years old.
