Geocache Description:

A great hike in the Sandia Foothills National Forest, with only gentle inclines and no bouldering.

The cache is a large sized ammo box full of kids books, so bring one to trade! Do not park on Big Horn Ridge Rd! A local resident objects to anyone parking on this road and leaves nasty notes on cars parked there. A car was even "keyed!" You may park at the TRAM ($1 fee). From the southeast corner of the tram parking lot, find the sign for the Elena Gallegos Trail # 365 and hike southward to the intersection of the trail that takes you westward to the cache. This option also puts you near several other caches and we rate this option as a "2/2" hike. Yet another option is to park at Elena Gallegos Park (fee area), at N35 09.958 W106 28.392 (ie. Kiwanis Group Area). Take the trail #365 northward to the same intersection of the trail heading westward (from off of #365) to the cache. We rate this option as a "2.5/2.5" because it's a longer hike (though this hike also takes you to other caches of ours).
