Geocache Description:

Pooh & Roo’s Treasure Hunt: Multi-Falls is part of a series of Treasure Hunt caches in which we will take you on a loop of the Michael Ciaiola Conservation Area in Patterson, New York.

This particular cache is a multi-stage cache dedicated to those that like Falling Water.

Each stage of the Multi-Falls Cache is located close to a view of a small waterfall in this pretty preserve. This cache will take you to visit the start and an intermediate stage before heading to the final location. The final coordinates are to an Ammo Can located close to the trail. Each intermediate stage is a decon container, also within sight of a trail.

"Bother!", said Pooh. "First I go There, then Here, then back to There and There, then some more Here, There and There and a little more Here. That's a lot of Walking and Going To The Same Place Twice". Owl puffed up his chest and started to draw a Picture on his blackboard.

First he took the Secret Blue and White Trail from the Parking Area turning Left on the Blue Trail passing the Mountain Expotition and all the way to the End of the Blue Trail turning Left on the Red Trail and crossing the Bridge over the Stream. From the Stream he kept Right on the Red Trail to the Orange Trail for just a Little Bit, then Right on the Yellow Trail past Three Mile View and to the end of the Yellow Trail. From the end of the Yellow Trail he turned Left onto a Different Part of the Orange Trail, briefly visiting the same piece of the Orange and then the Red Trail which led to the Bridge. From the Bridge he stayed to the Left to follow either of the Red Trails along the Stream and all the way back the Parking. When he had finished he drew Xs on the map to show the location of the Secret Treasure.

"It only sounds Komplicated, because it isn't, but that Figure of Eight lets you get all of the Secret Treasure and go past the Best Views with only a little piece of your hike being the same", explained Owl. "As long a they follow our Trail Map, Clever Cachers will let the Trail Decide The Order of Things as they go along".

Children, please note that as your return will not necessarily be along the same trails as you followed on your way in, please try not to leave behind any parents that you might need to make breakfast for you in the morning.

This cache contains Many Things of Winnie the Pooh and Friends, both Classic and Disney. Please try to keep to the young-at-heart theme. As placed, we left new Toys, Markers, a Pencil Case, Bookplates, Hand-Warmers, a TB or two, and Lots of other Neat Stuff. The First-To-Find Prize will be a new copy of the Winnie the Pooh paperback. A personal coin and signature items will also be sent at a later date and after we learn how to spell forthcoming.

This cache also contains a disposable camera for recording your visit to this Thoughtful Spot. Extra Points will be awarded if you take your photograph with someone, or something, from 100 Acre Wood. We will collect the camera and post the pictures as the camera fills up.
