Riverview East Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Caver Bill: This one is very overgrown and the ROW for the pipeline is not cut very often. Too much trouble to maintain under the circumstances. Also, not much visitation due to the overgrowth. Time to retire. It had a good run.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located just off the D & R Canal State Park hiking trail off of North Main Street (Route 29) just north of Lambertville. Park at the parking lot at N40-22.797 W074-57.110. Parking is right next to the canal. Access the parking lot via the road for the Holcombe Jimison Farmstead Museum (www.holcombe-jimison.org/). The Farmstead Museum is open from May to October. Enjoy a visit to the museum if you cache here during that season.

This cache is the first of several in planning to extend the line of caches located along the D & R Canal State Park hiking trail which follows the abandoned railroad tracks. The cache is a 6 inch round Tupperware container that has a log and a few trade items. The cache initially contains two Davy Crockett trading cards from the 1950's that some of the nostalgia buffs might remember. Views of the Delaware River are available near the cache site.

Good hunting!
