A quick cache in an area with lots of history.
Located in Riverview Park. Lots of plaques to read around here. This was the site of a rope ferry, it was replaced. A train bridge joined it shortly after and still remains in use. The ferry was later replaced again and finally replaced by a wooden bridge. This bridge was soon destroyed by spring ice and was quickly replaced. Sometime later a stronger structure was built to replace the bridge. And finally in 1997, the world's first "smart" bridge, Taylor Bridge, was built as a replacement and is used today.
