Geocache Description:


Applewood Park nature preserve is a pretty good size park. At the other end is a fun playground and picnic area with animals peeking out from here and there. Don't miss the observation deck just uphill to the north of the playground. It looks down on a pond and has a nice view especially in the late afternoon. Gravel trails connect the two ends of the park and go down through a valley or up along a ridge where there is a great view of the burbs and beyond.

Gravel trails will get you close, then use one of the deer trails to the avenue of rocks. Black peanut butter jar with log, pencil, and some trinkets. Please dont overfill and never leave lighters or matches as Smokey Bear wouldnt approve
