Our cache is concealed in Willard Woods, a conservation area in Lexington. Parking is available on the street on Brent Road.
Willard Woods is very popular with local dog walkers. If any members of your team are uncomfortable with dogs, this may not be a good area to search. The trails are relatively flat and well surfaced but are not really suitable for children's strollers. The cache is located within 100 feet or so of a trail junction in an area that is clear of poison ivy and thorny growth. If you are very lucky you will spot our treasure quickly, but it shouldn't take too long to search the area of the coordinates. We had a little trouble with our Garmin Etrex under the trees but we think the reading that we are using is pretty good.
TobyTeam planned a cache that they would like to find. A plastic lockbox holds a logbook, pencil and sharpener, a fish puzzle, word finder book, frog pad, miniature sharpie, and some other small goodies. It is fairly visible if approached from the right direction. Since there are usually dog walkers in the area, a little discretion may be required. If you think our coordinates are badly off, please let us know.
4/13/2008 THE CACHE HAS BEEN MUGGLED. We will attempt to create a better hide and replace the box. It may take another week or two to complete restoration. We will announce the replacement when it is finished.
