Hidden Beauty Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

IronHorseReviewer: [Greetings from Geocaching.com

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from hiding new geocaches around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Therefore we are archiving this cache so that someone else can place a cache in the area and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. If you haven't done so already, please pick up any remaining cache pieces as soon as possible.

If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival, and I will assist you in getting your cache re-listed if possible.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and look forward to seeing your caches up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

This is located in downtown Louisville and is a few hops, skips, and jumps from the 4th Street Trolley line. Please note the man made canyons of downtown make for terrible readings. The coordinates will get you to the general vicinity; from there you may want to utilize the hints.

While taking a walk one afternoon I stumbled onto this beautiful Historical Landmark. I’ve placed a cache here so you too can see this hidden beauty that has survived while being surrounded by the hustle and bustle of downtown.

The Brennan House (1868) is the last remaining private residence in Louisville's downtown business district. The three-story red-brick Italianate-style home is furnished in a Victorian interior. The Brennans occupied the home from 1884 to 1969. It is one of only two homes in the state that contain an entirely original family collection. Attached to the north side is a 1912 doctor's office.

Tours of the home are available, and also available for groups and schools. Please visit the following website for more information.

Placed with permission – Thanks Andrea!
You are looking for a lock ‘n’ lock.

Thank you to everyone that has placed hides in the downtown vicinity
– it sure beats eating lunch at my desk.
Enjoy!
