Geocache Description:

A cache just off the path on a old scenic mining path, inland from the south-west coast path.

The Cache is situated in St Agnes at Wheal Friendly, this was one of the main mining areas of St Agnes in its day. It was a Tin producing mine, this mine abandoned in the first world war due to financial and man power problems in 1915, but was opened again shorty after as ventilation to the reopened wheal kitty mine, but closed again in 1930 never to open again. The main pumping shaft and many other ruins remain.

The cache is a small locktype tupperware box, that has a some room for small objects. Please be carefull as it is a well used path at times.

There is pleanty of parking in St Agnes, either at the free carpark in the centre of the village, or down in Trevaunance Cove. The path can be slippery, and in someplaces uneven, steep and has steps.

If their is one thing you must do whilst here, is admire the view. It is one of the best views of trevaunance cove.
