Bethlehem Cemetery, founded in 1820, Brown Township, Carroll Co., on St. Rt. 183, just east of the Malvern village limits.
The cemetery is closed from dusk til dawn.
The cache is located at the front of the cemetery in an area set aside for 2 Veterans Memorials. This is a quick, easy find, meant to bring you here to see this memorial.
'Buried in the South' was dedicated in 1906 to pay tribute to those soldiers from Brown Township who served in the Army of the Potomac, and having given the last full measure of devotion, were buried in the south. Each man is listed, as is his unit, and where they are buried. My great, great grandfather is among those honored.
'In Memory of Those Who Served Our Nation' honors veterans of all the armed forces, in all the wars of our nation's history. This newer memorial is a low granite stone about 2' tall and 4' wide, located closer to the road than the older statue.
Container is 5" x 5" x 3"(deep) Locknlock covered with camo tape. Please be discrete...there are benches close by. Please rehide as well or better than found.
