Geocache Description:

This is the third in a series of caches that will take you around the North Shropshire Meres.

The above coordinates are for the recommended parking, which is a small layby with room for two or three cars. The caches must be done in the order below and each one will involve solving a Sudoku puzzle to be able to obtain the correct coordinates. As you progress through the challenge the puzzles will become more difficult. The difficulty rating relates to the difficulty of the puzzle.

1. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 1 - Blake Mere
2. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 2 - Colemere
3. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 3 - Newton Mere
4. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 4 - White Mere
5. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 5 - Ellesmere
6. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 6 - Hanmer
7. A Mere Sudoku Challenge 7 - Crose Mere

In order to find this cache, you will have had to solve the sudoku puzzle found on the inside of the Cole Mere cache logbook, and insert the appropriate figures into the coordinates below:

Cache location at:
N 52° (B2)(A6).0(D1)(E5)
W002° (C4)(G7).(F9)(G3)(I7)

This cache is a small rectangular Tupperware container containing a logbook and pencil and a few swaps. Inside the cover of the logbook you will find the puzzle that you need to solve for the next cache in the series, the White Mere Cache. You should copy it down into the blank grid below.

The cache is near the recommended parking along a narrow country lane it should be easy to find and accesible to both buggies and wheelchairs.

I recommend that you use a pencil when solving these puzzles or make copies of them to avoid getting half way through, realising that you’ve made a mistake and not knowing where you started from.

The Meres were formed at the end of the last iceage some 12000 years ago and more details can be found at Link
