Hey Southern Arizona Geocachers, it's time for another CITO at
the Alamo Wash! This time, we're holding it on Sunday, November 5th
to encourage those that maybe haven't been able to join us on the
Saturday dates. It should also be quite a bit cooler, so if you've
been waiting for the right time, now's your chance to come out and
participate.
We'll be focusing on the northern part of the wash this time, so
we'll meet at the Safeway parking lot at 8:00am. As before, trash
bags, gloves and cold water will be provided, though you are
encouraged to bring anything you might need to make sure we have
enough for everyone.
For those interested in the numbers so far, we've had a total of
56 caching teams participate in the first four Alamo Wash
CITOs. Of those, 6 teams attended all four, 18 attended at least
three and 24 attended two or more, so as you can see, we've had a
lot of regular attendees as well as first-timers! We've also had
great participation from those Southern Arizona Geocachers who live
outside of the Tucson area and I'd like to extend a special thanks
to them for going the extra mile!
30 teams helped out with the first Alamo Wash CITO, but the
numbers dropped off as only 17 came out the second time. By Part
Trois, we were back up to 23 teams and for Part Quatre, we set a
new high of 34 teams. Let's see if we can set a new attendance
record for Part Cinq! As an added incentive, the woodcutter is
creating a special item that will be available to everyone who
participates in our fifth Alamo Wash CITO. In addition, there will
be some new, unactivated geocoins up for grabs as prizes for those
who attend. So, please come join us for the final Alamo Wash CITO
Event of 2006.
