[French] Cette énigme vous emmène dans le massif du
Tallagard ; vous y découvrirez des constructions en pierre
sèche restaurées, les ruines d'un pavillon de chasse, un sentier
botanique, des restanques du 17ème, une table d'orientation. 1h30 à
2h de balade.
[English] This enigma will lead you in the massif of
Tallagard ; you will discover drystone restored
constructions, ruins of a hunting lodge, a botanical path,
terracing fields of 17th, a map. 1h30 to 2h walk.
[French] Les coordonnées sont celles du début
du sentier où il est possible de se garer si la barrière
est ouverte. Prendre la N538 au nord de Salon-de-Provence (route
Jean Moulin) en direction de l’A7 (Avignon, Lyon). Juste
avant l’entrée sur l’autoroute, après le pont et le
tunnel, tourner à droite en direction du refuge SPA. Un grand
parking est prévu pour tous les circuits dans le Tallagard,
notamment quand la barrière est fermée.
1756. Messager du roi Louis XV, vous êtes chargé de
retrouver l’enseigne de vaisseau Pierre-André afin de lui
remettre sa lettre de mission pour Port-Mahon. Ce dernier est parti
à la chasse non loin du fief de Richebois appartenant à sa famille.
Pour le trouver et toucher votre récompense, vous devrez passer par
plusieurs lieux :
- Le Petit Mas, un arbre fruitier, la table d’orientation
pour décoder la longitude
- Le pavillon de chasse, pour décoder la latitude
Une carte IGN des lieux peut être utile. Une partie de l'énigme
peut être préparée avant de partir ; cependant toutes les réponses
se trouvent sur place.

Longitude (à trouver d, s, f, t, k) :
L’agriculteur du Petit Mas a construit en hauteur la plus
belle construction en pierres sèches du massif, avec une terrasse
où vous pourrez vous reposer. Il est rare d’en trouver à
(d) degrés en ce siècle (s). Il vous suggère de
monter au sommet de la colline en passant par les imposantes
restanques ; en chemin, vous serez autorisé à ramasser les fruits
de l’arbre (pommes f=25, olives f=40, amandes
f= 37). De là haut, vous pourrez vous orienter et chercher
au loin votre homme qui chasse dans un massif parfaitement au nord
- vous auriez pu vous en douter. Vous compterez le nombre de
lettres de ce lieu (t) et noterez que vous êtes à (k)
km de Paris. Au retour par le chemin le plus direct, au bord duquel
poussent des plantes médicinales, vous rejoindrez le pavillon de
chasse pour annoncer aux domestiques où il se trouve. Ils vous
confirmeront que le nombre (t) est aussi égal au nombre de
fenêtres (une fenêtre = un encadrement en pierre) de ce pavillon et
vous diront comment trouver la longitude de votre récompense

Latitude : Trouvez le pavillon de chasse et le nom de
famille de Pierre-André. Associer la première lettre de son nom de
famille au chiffre 1, puis réécrivez l'alphabet à partir de cette
lettre en attribuant le chiffre 2 à la lettre qui suit celle-ci
dans l’alphabet, et ainsi de suite. Décoder ensuite

[English] The co-ordinates are those of the
trailhead where it is possible to park your car if
the barrier is opened. Take N538 at north of Salon in Provence (the
Jean Moulin road) in the direction of A7 (Avignon, Lyon). Turn
right just before the entry of the motorway, after the bridge and
the tunnel, turn right in direction of “refuge SPA”. A
large carpark is planned for all the circuits in Tallagard, also if
the barrier is down.
1756. As a messenger of the king Louis XV, you are in charge
of finding the midshipman Pierre-Andre in order to give him his
bill for Port-Mahon assignment. He went chasing not far from the
stronghold of Richebois belonging to his family. To find and get
something as a reward, you will have to pass by several places :
- Le Petit Mas, a fruit tree, the map on at the top of the hill
to decode the longitude
- The hunting lodge, to decode the latitude
An IGN map of the place can be useful. A part of the enigma can be
prepared before leaving ; however all answers are on the
spot.

Longitude (to be found d, s, f, t, k):
The farmer of the Petit Mas built one of the highest beautiful
drystone hut in the massif, with a terrace where you will be able
to rest. It is rare to find some with (d) degrees (steps of
the roof) in (s)th century. He suggests you going up at the
top of the hill while passing by the imposing terracing fields ; on
the way, you will give permission to collect the fruits of the tree
(apples f=25, olives f=40, almonds f= 37).
From the height, you will be able to locate and seek your man far
away : he is hunting in a massif exactly in north - you could have
suspected that. You will count the number of letters contained in
the name of this place (t) and will note that you are far
from (k) km of Paris. On the way back by the most direct
way, at the edge of which medicinal plants are growing, you will
join the hunting lodge to break the news to the pages. They will
confirm that number (t) is also equal to the number of
windows (a window = a stone window frame) of this hunting house and
will say to you how to find the longitude of your reward :

Latitude: Find the hunting lodge and the
Pierre-Andre’s family name. Associate the first letter of his
name with number 1 ; write the alphabet beginning at this letter ;
then associate number 2 with the following letter in the alphabet,
