The 1956 Hungarian Revolution, also known as the Hungarian Uprising or simply the Hungarian Revolt, was an anti-Soviet revolt in Hungary lasting from 23 October to 4 November 1956. The revolt was suppressed by Soviet troops, and to a much smaller degree the Hungarian ÁVH (Államvédelmi Hatóság, 'State Protection Authority'). 2500 Hungarian rebels were killed in action according to the Central Statistics Office. This number may underestimate the casualties, since it does not include other causes of death, combatants not found on the combat field, persons who simply disappeared or those executed immediately afterwards. [1] 720 Soviet troops were killed according to Soviet sources and thousands more were wounded or missing. [2] [3] The revolution led to a significant drop in support for Marxist-Leninist ideas in Western countries. Soviet actions clearly showed that, regardless of the national ambitions of the Warsaw Pact client nations, armed force would be used to maintain regimes that reflected monolithic Soviet-style communism.

The graves are at the furthermost point of the Cementery of Rákoskeresztúr, hided from everything else. These parcels are 298,300, and 301. The cache is 2.4km from the entrance, so we suggest to come with bike. By car it takes for you 280Ft. (2015) Opening times usually by daylight, but:
