Kätkölle ei ole olemassa mitään optimi reittiä. Itäpuolella on laajat pellot ja sieltä ei taida päästä. Länsipuolella olevan suon ympäri pääsee suht helposti joko etelästä tai pohjoisesta. Joitakin ojia pitää ylittää ja maasto on paikoittain ryteikköistä, mutta pääosin ihan kohtuullista kuljettavaa. Kumisaappaat kannattaa laittaa jalkaan. Ja Hirvikärpäsaikaan hattu päässä lisää mukavuutta. Jos tuuri käy, niin saatat nähdä itse hirviäkin.
Etelästä lähestyvillä yksityisteillä on kaikilla moottoriajoneuvoilla ajo kielletty. Vaakkolantien ja Uuden Porvoontien risteyksestä (N60,16.930 E25,17.730) lienee helpoin reitti kävellä/pyöräillä. Pysäköintipaikkaa ei vain taida löytyä.
Pohjoisesta lähestyvällä yksityistiellä ei ole kieltomerkkejä, mutta tie on mutkainen, kapea, menee pihojen läpi ja sillä liikkuu paljon hevosia. Polkupyörällä tätä tietä on mahdollista tulla lähelle kätköä, mutta matkalla on vaaroja (mm. koira). En ole varma miten tien varren asukkaat suhtautuvat liikennöintiin. Jos kuitenkin päätät kulkea tätä kautta autolla, niin ajathan hiljaa ja varovasti.
Kätköilijän patikointikokemuksen kannalta paras, mutta pitempi reitti lähtee kätköltä 1,2 km lounaaseen olevan metsäautotien haarasta (60 16,635 25 16,579). Siitä polku kulkee kätkön eteläpuolelle kiertäen ensin lännen kautta mutkan. Paikoitellen polku katoaa, mutta maasto on kohtuullisen kuljettavaa. Matkalla on vaihtelevaa metsä- ja suomaisemaa. Parkkipaikalta pääse myös suoraakin reittiä metsän läpi kätkölle.
Varaa reippaasti aikaa kätkölle kulkemiseen ja etenkin kallioihin, siirtolohkareisiin, luoliin ja jyrkänteisiin tutustumiseen. Paikka on varmasti hieno kokemus myös lapsille, jos he vaan jaksavat tarpoa paikalle asti.

Kätköstä n. 100m pohjoiseen on hieno Lyftenberget kallio jonka jyrkänteen reunalta on hienot maisemat ja ihanteellinen piknik paikka (60 17,285 E25 17,014). ÄLÄ PÄÄSTÄ LAPSIA JYRKÄNTEEN LÄHELLE. Käy myös katsomassa mahtavaa kalliojyrkännettä sen alapuolelta. Alhaalla jyrkänteessä on hieno pystysuuntainen halkeama jota saattaa olla mahdollista kiivetä välineiden kanssa ylös (60 17,275 25 17,003). Muutenkin jyrkänne näytti soveltuvalta kokeneen harrastajan kiipeilyyn.

There is no best route to the cache. On the east side there are a lot of fields so that's a no-go direction. The west side swamp is easy to go around from north or south. You need to cross a few ditches and the vegetation is rather thick on some places but mainly the terrain is decent to walk. Wear rubber boots. And during the moosefly time a hat is nice to have. If you are lucky, you might bump into a moose or two on the way.
The private roads, that approach the cache from the south are not allowed for motorized traffic. The easiest hike/bike route to the cache is probably from the Vaakkolantie - Uusi Porvoontie crossing (N60,16.930 E25,17.730) but there is no real parking place there.
The northern private road does not have any prohibit signs, but it is very narrow, goes through a courtyard and there is a lot of horse traffic. You can use this road with a bicycle, but be aware of dogs etc. I'm not sure how the locals feel about using this road. If you nevertheless decide to come from north with a car, then please drive slowly and carefully.
If you like hiking in the woods, then the best approach by far is to use the forest road that starts 1,2 km south-west form the cache (60 16,635 25 16,579). The path does a west-north-east arch before finding it's way on the southern side of the cache area. The path dissapears on some places, but generally the terrain is ok. It is also possible to just walk straight form the parking place to the cache through the woods.
Reserve plenty of time for the hike and also for exploring the caves, cliffs and boulders. The place is nice for kids also if they are willing to walk all the way to the cache.
Take a flashlight.
100m north from the cache is Lyftenberget cliff and the view from up there is great (60 17,285 E25 17,014). It is also a great picnic place. PLEASE DO NOT LET KIDS GO NEAR THE EDGE. Go to the steep precipice from the bottom also. There is an intresting big crack at (60 17,275 25 17,003).
