Geocache Description:

A cache hidden beside a jungle waterfall about one mile in from the road at Kudjip, PNG.

The description for this cache will be detailed as the main idea is to get to the waterfall and then log your find.

The container is a small clear tupperware square buried in the rocks to the right of the top waterfall. The land is owned by Andrew Kewa who has approved the placement of the cache. Andrew is kickstarting a Cultural Center at the waterfalls, and he will be happy to show you around. Since it is still under development, he may charge a small fee (10 Kina) to show you around, but it is well worth it.

Most locals will know Andrew and the site for the Cultural Center, so asking questions will get you right to the cache. Finding Andrew to show you to the falls is the key to this cache. If not, here are detailed directions:

As you enter Kudjip turn right at the tea fields and turn right again at the Sidney and Wanda Knox Memorial (the Nazarene Clinic is on the left). Park your car there and walk N beside the tea fields. After a few hundred feet there is a car gate on your left. This is the starting point, the first gate.

Turn left at the gate onto the road and proceed down it until you come to a Catholic Church. Turn right down a dirt path after the church. After a short time the path will become a dirt road. Eventually you will cross a wide wooden-pole bridge. At .83 mi from the first gate you will come to a bamboo gate which you can step over.

At 1.07 mi from the first gate, there is a WOODEN GATE to the left and a trade store on the right. The sign says not to enter. This is the Cultural Center. It is Andrew's property and he has given permission for Geocachers to enter. The coordinates for the Cultural Center are (S 05 51.059), (E 144 34.072).

Walk up to the thatch huts in the cultural center, and the pathway to the waterfalls is straight through the huts.

The Cache is in the large rocks to the right of the falls.

The directions are quite complicated but Andrew will probably be around to show you to the cache.
