The Captain Sargent Farm (Babricki Land) was purchased by the Town in 1981 with assistance from the state under the self-help program. This land has been in agricultural use since the 1700's and was purchased from the estate of Mr. Babricki, the last farmer to own the land. During the American Revolution it was owned by the family of Nathaniel Sargent, whose name it bears today. A parking lot was cut into the northeast section of the land in 1994 and has encouraged use of the land. Much of the southern section is in use for agriculture, but the public may use the edges of these fields.
Trail maps can be found at the Stow Conservation Trust website
This is a two stage cache. Begin on the Green Trail at the east end of the parking area (near the trash can). The coordinates listed above are for stage 1. At stage 1 you will find the coordinates for the final cache location. The final cache location is approximately a third of a mile from stage 1. this cache is definitely a tough one with snow or ice cover.
You will be crossing Tuttle Lane during your search, so take care when crossing the street (especially with children and dogs).
Both stage 1 and the final are close to the trail. You should not have to leave the trail for more than a few feet. The cache container is small with room for coins or like sized items.
