Geocache Description:

The coordinates above will only lead you to the starting point of this letterbox hybrid, NOT the cache itself. You will have to read the story and follow the directions below to find the final cache. Please do not remove the stamp!

"Son, I know I haven't been the best mother to you and there of course have been reasons for this, I would love to tell you what they are but I think the easiest way would be to lead you to a place that will hold all your answers about my past as well as yours. Life before you were born was not so easy for me and though there are personal reasons for leaving our tree home so early in your life. I sit here dying far to early than expected and sending you to our home may be the only key to my survival as well as yours. I know you want to ask about why we are so different from the others who we live along side with and this as well as other questions should be answered upon reaching the location in which I point you towards. Please pay close attention to my instructions as I just do not have the energy to repeat them as my mind wanders so. The hardest part of the directions will be that they will start from the location in which you are going to, though the fact that the area must have changed some since will also make things difficult."

"My memory of leaving the tree house is slightly blurred but what I remember should suffice. After jumping the ditch in front of the tree house I get on the trail and go south zig zagging up towards the fields. There I ran into another trail where I bent two trees to mark the spot where I turned onto the trail and go a little further south instead of heading east towards a place even a spry one like you should not go towards. As I walk south along the field I decide to cut across but before I do I plant a dwarf fir to mark the spot where I turn to cross. After I cross the field I get to the other side and take a break and finish off a bottle of juice and leave it at the base of the tree in hopes to mark yet another spot on my way out. I continue in the same direction past the tree and get to an intersection where I see what I thought were two trees kissing. It gave me a good chuckle as I turned right and headed down the trail. As I walked I noticed there is a fence off to my left so I continued to follow that until it ended and turned left towards the log cabin not far off in the distance. After passing the log cabin I curve around thru the swamp for a while (so it was when I walked in it). Once I got to the edge of the woods I was face to face with a fence so I climbed over it and made my way towards the diamond I saw in front of me. It was then that I was attacked by bats and blacked out until a friendly soul came and helped me. You already know where to start since I posted it on the cache page (whatever that is) so please be careful and hopefully what you can find at the old home is able to help us."
