Geocache Description:

A reason to stop at a very interesting Roadside rest area.
***WARNING RECENT CACHERS HAVE REPORTED A WASP NEST BY CACHE***
It hasnt stopped one of them from finding it though, the natural urge to cache is strong!

Located on Hwy 3, approximately 9 km east of the west portal to Manning Park. This trails winds through vegetation decidedly coastal. The stop's principal attraction is the rare and lovely shrub, the Red Rhododendron, which blooms in great profusion in mid June. Even without their flowers the shrubs are handsome with their varied and interesting shapes and great whorls of big, shiny, evergreen leaves.

No need to leave the trail, the cache is behind a tree cluster within reach of path. Please cover up cache and disguise carefully with the geo-sticks (bark)
