Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden at the Hashawha/Bear Branch Nature Center in Carroll County with permission. The park is open from sunrise to sunset with no admission fee.
The Hashawha Environmental Center is available to groups by reservation only and is not open to the public for hiking, biking, picnicking, etc. Do not drive past the stone pillars/gate or walk into the marked "No entry" area from the trails.
Parking is available at the Bear Branch Nature Center N 39º 38.839 W 076º 59.239

The listed coordinates are not the actual cache location, they are the starting point for this Letterbox Hybrid cache. As with Letterboxing you will follow clues to the actual cache which contains a stamp and stamp pad. You should use your stamp to make an entry in the logbook and use our stamp to make a print in your book as a record of your visit to “Hashawha”.
The stamp, 2 stamp pads and Camp Comics should stay in the cache.
From the posted coordinates follow the unpaved route leading Northwest, this route will turn to the west as you enter the wooded area. You will pass a cluster of Tarzan platforms and ropes in the trees to your left. Please respect this area and the other “No Entry” areas of the park. As you approach the Martin Cabin there will be trails branching to the left and right but you need not stray. You will find the cache (an ammo box) just east of the Cabin in the corner of a foundation that provides support for a senior member of this forest.
Please stay on the designated trails to prevent overuse in sensitive areas. Please familiarize yourself with the “rules of the trails” to ensure a pleasurable experience for all. Check bulletin boards for special area regulations and helpful information. Dogs must be on a leash.

The Martin Cabin, circa 1850, was reconstructed in the late 1990s and is now used for living history demonstrations by Hashawha Environmental Center, Bear Branch Nature Center and the Carroll County Outdoor School.
