"Drive in Cache" especially for motorcyclists (and others...)

 Der Klausenpass (1952 müM) verbindet Altdorf mit Linthal. Diese Passstrasse von 47km Länge wird dich bestimmt begeistern! Ihre Schönheit erinnert an Passstrassen in Norwegen. Zwischen 1922 und 1934 fanden Bergrennen von Linthal auf den 21.5 km entfernten Klausenpass statt. Damit war es die längste Bergrennstrecke überhaupt!
Heute wird dies alle paar Jahre als Oldtimer Rennveranstaltung zelebriert. Dabei kommen praktisch alle historischen Originalfahrzeuge wieder zum Einsatz. Selbst der legendäre Silberpfeil wurde schon extra aus dem Museum geholt. Zum nächsten Mal findet diese Veranstaltung September 2006 statt.

Klausenpass (1952m) connects Altdorf with Linthal. This pass road is 47km long. The ride up will excite you for sure. It's a 21.5km long ride from Linthal. Here the legendary "Klausenrennen" (a motorcar and motorbike race from Linthal to the pass) took place in the years 1922 to 1934. Every few years now they make a historic race again. All the famous original cars and motorbikes and sometimes even the drivers start! Next time it will be in September 2006.
