The Crow is a old granit quarry off the north coast of Ile
Grande; it can be seen from the location of the now disabled
"BirdWatching [GC3B7E]" cache . To reach it, you can swim or use a
boat at high tide or just walk on the pebbles at low tide. Climbing
on the Crow's back may be difficult for children under 10 or unfit
adults ; beware of slippery rocks!
When on the Crow's back, on the south side, on the upper
monolith, you'll notice round holes (diameter greater than 20 cm),
created by erosion that is by rain, wind and waves. Let X be
the number of holes. There's also X marks carved on a flat
rock nearby. Let Y be (2 * X).

W3 35.(Y-1)58 where you'll find a flat stone prepared to be
extracted : two rows of small round holes were drilled to separate
the stone from the granite block. Let z be the number of
holes. Let T be (Z - X - 1) and W be (X + Y
- Z).
The cache is located under some small rocks at N48 48' TX.7''
W3 34' 3W.9'' or N48 48.(Z-1)29 W3 34.(T+1)31.
Le Corbeau est un rocher au large de l'Ile Grande qui servait
de carrière de granite; l'ancienne cache "BirdWatching [GC3B7E]"
permet de le contempler dans le paysage. Il est accessible à pieds
à marée basse par un cordon de galets; à marée haute, une
embarcation ou un maillot de bain sont nécessaires pour
l'atteindre. L'escalade du Corbeau peut être dangereuse à cause des
rochers glissants et de passages délicats.
Sur le dos du Corbeau, c'est-à-dire la partie sud, sur le
monolithe le plus élevé, l'érosion a formé des cuvettes (diamètre
supérieur à 20 cm) dans le rocher. Soit X le nombre de
cuvettes. X traits ont aussi été tracés sur un rocher plat
visible en fin de montée. Soit Y égale (2 *
X).
Allez au point N48 48' 44.Y'' W3 34' XX.5'' ou N48
48.(Y+1)43 W3 35.(Y-1)58 pour trouver un bloc de granite prêt à
être extrait. Deux rangés de trous ont été forés pour séparer le
rocher de la veine de granite : soit z le nombre de trous.
Soit T égale (Z - X - 1) et W égale (X + Y
- Z).
La cache est en N48 48' TX.7'' W3 34' 3W.9'' ou N48
48.(Z-1)29 W3 34.(T+1)31 sous des petits rochers.
