An easy to find cache located off the main trail to the south of the first pond west of the VGSA complex.
The three mile Salmon Creek Trail runs from the Salmon Creek Park - Klineline Pond to NW 36th Avenue. The Salmon Creek Sports Complex, home of the Vancouver Girls Softball Association (VGSA), is about 1/4 mile west of the park and has a large, free parking lot accessible from 117th Street.
Salmon Creek Cache was the first one placed along this trail in December, 2001. It was archived in August, 2003. In August, 2004, three caches - Son of Salmon Creek I, II, and III - were strung along the trail with III being replaced by IV when it came up missing a few months later. First II came up missing then I so IV has been retired and a new series begins: Grandson of Salmon Creek I, II, and III. They are all located in the general vicinity of their most immediate predecessor.
Cache is a plastic food container with a few trinkets and a shiny coin for the first time finder.
As of July, 2006, there were nine caches located along or near the Salmon Creek Trail. From east to west they would be:
Slimeline
Grandson of Salmon Creek I
Home Run
Grandson of Salmon Creek II
Grandson of Salmon Creek III
Seek, and ye shall find (off Cougar Creek Trail)
Cougar Creek (off Cougar Creek Trail)
Old Rusty Thing
