Geocache Description:

This cache can only be done at night with the aid of a flashlight. It is not hidden at the given coordinates. Do you like the dark? I hope so! This is a good cache to do with a friend.

This night cache requires you to follow the path that will be illuminated by your flashlight. It involves traveling over some interesting terrain, which can be challenging in the dark so be careful. (During the day the terrain rating would be about 3.) The cache itself should be easily found. Getting to it is the adventure!

I suggest parking at N 40 41.860, W 74 52.341 on Raritan River Road as you approach the bridge. Access River Road from Cokesbury Rd. and follow it (much of which is a narrow dirt road) until you get to where they have now put up a road block. A parking area is on the left side of the road.

Continue walking a short distance on the road to the base of a bridge now used for the Columbia Trail crossing of the river. Look for a path that begins on the side of the road at the base of the bridge and take it up to the top of the bridge. Once at the top and on the Columbia Trail, proceed to across the bridge to the given coordinates (white pipes). From there, scan the area with your flashlight until you see the first reflectors (a small grouping of three). Each sucessive reflector (or two) can be seen from the last. Once you reach three reflectors in a triangle, the cache should be easily found nearby.

Again, watch your footing and eye-level branches. It's dark out here!
