The event I held in Bridgewater in the fall brought a good turnout,
so I decided to host another event as part of the world wide events
celebrating the 10 year anniversary of selective availability being
turned off and geocaching being born soon after. However, this time
instead of a Flash Mob, we'll be having a Sit In.
At the event, there'll be a bunch of newly activated trackables
released, and feel free to bring some coins/TBs of your own to
release too. You can also purchase trackables for $3 for release at
the event! Contact Islander for details. The event will begin at
2:10p.m., and continue as long as people stick around. Bring a lawn
chair to relax and enjoy the spring weather (they're currently
calling for sun!). Should the weather be bad, we'll move
inside.
Some door prizes will be given away (though since we're outside, we
won't have a door... maybe "out"door prizes?), and event buttons
will be available for the taking.
So, show up, say hello to some other cachers, and maybe you'll
be one of the people to grab a newly released trackable and move it
to a cache.
How the Distribution will Work
I will have the trackables being released, so if you would like to
pick up one of them to move to a cache, please tell me when you
sign the log book. From there, what cache you move it to is up to
you. I'll be keeping track of which cachers take which trackables
to help avoid any of them going MIA from the event.
Hope to see you there!
