Advice for finding the cache:
· I would park at the co-ords at the top of the page, in the lane outside the Fox Inn. The food and beer there are excellent.
· The terrain is unsuitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
· At the moment (July) the area is pretty overgrown in places so WEAR OLD CLOTHES WITH LONG SLEEVES AND LONG TROUSERS – YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
· Just after you’ve entered the area mentioned in the clue, you’ll see a fairly narrow path which seems to lead exactly where the GPSR arrow wants you to go. Don’t be tempted to go this way. After a few hundred feet this path becomes very overgrown, and you’ll get cut to pieces – believe me, I’ve been along there myself and I have the bloodstains to prove it! Instead, follow the main paths toward the South West, then find the smaller path up towards the cache.
· For all but the final 6ft, please keep to the paths to avoid disturbing the wildlife.
Once you’ve found the cache, please log your visit and feel free to do any swaps. Have a good look at the residential geocoin and remember to write down its number so you can claim the icon but PLEASE DON’T TAKE IT AWAY. It is there as an incentive for cachers to work out the puzzle and claim the icon for their profile. Please replace the clip-on lid carefully and do your best to re-hide the cache so that it isn’t visible from any angle. Then let us all know how you got on!
