Although a lot of places in Gran Canaria resemble the Grand Canyon, we liked to use the wordplay for giving a name to this cache.
There is a large parking place nearby. It might happen that there a lot of muggles around, especially if they come in buses. But they should usally visit the nearby place that is away far enough to cache undisturbed.

A little story on the verge.
While we were there to hide the cache, we heard strange sounds that resembled to "Help" calls. As we looked around we saw a white object hanging on the hillside just opposite the cache site. If you look at the picture, you see that it is really a car that went down there (the question is how). From here it looked like there was another track a little higher in the hillside running parallel to the main road, where in fact the crash barriers were broken through. So after we finished hiding the cache, we drove back on the main road to see if there were effectively still people shouting for help.
