Cool Refreshing cache by the river
Ulu Kenas Recreational Park (UKRP) is a destination well known to the locals for its clean and crystal clear water. Situated in the Bubu Forest Reserved surounded with hill dipterocarp jungle, this medium size river that runs through the park forms small pools and rapids which is suitable for a cool refreshing dip. Gunung Bubu is the highest peak in this forest reserved stand 1,657m asl.
Facilities like the suspension bridge, chalet, camping ground, picnic table, public toilet, community hall and eateries were provided for the convenience of the public.
To get there, one has to drive about 12km (junction to UKRP) from Kuala Kangsar town along the Kuala Kangsar - Manong road and about 45km from Ipoh town.
From the junction, drive in about 2km to the car park.(nice scenery of the flowing river along the road) and you are welcome by the sound of the rushing water along the river.
Cache is a circular transparent plastic container with a stash note, Logbook, pencil and encapsulated pair of "crystal rings".
Please be descrete when retrieving cache as this place is normally packed with picknickers. Also beware of patchy signal around this heavily canopied area.
