Bob's Biking Bonanza Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

johmer79: Due to a lack of time, and pressures from above, this cache will now be archived. I appologize to those who were attempting to finish the cache, but the ratio of maintenance runs (people telling me the stages aren't there when the really are) to finds on this cache does not warrant its continuation. [:(] The stages will all be removed this weekend.

Geocache Description:

This multicache is located on one of Centre County's many bike paths.

All stages of this multi are very very close to a bike path, as this cache was intended to do on bike! Round trip, it's about a 3.5 mile loop. You CAN walk it, but it'll take a while! If you choose to walk, or feel like driving your bike to the starting location, a suitable parking area is located at N 40 47.126 W 77 52.547.

The coordinates above lead you to the first stage of a multi that has 5 legs and a final. The first stage is on the bridge, which can be accessed by walking under the bridge from the parking area, and following the path up to the bridge on either side of the street.

The first five stages that contain coordinates for the next stage are of varying degrees of difficulty. Two are relatively standard, while the other three may be a little tricky, if you've never seen them before (one of them was borrowed from our caching sire in Western NY, Szuchie). The final stage shouldn't be too hard to find - the work was in getting there. We've placed a camera in the ammo can, so please take your picture :)

Please be very stealthy, all stages are in very high-traffic areas ... and remember, always take the obvious route (remember, this is a LOOP), you won't need to leave the path until the final!

This cache is named in honor of Bob the Bear who has amazing cache finding skills. He enjoys accompanying us on our caching adventures and is particularly fond of unique, tricky hides. He also has a special affinity for those awful nanos.
