Rutherford Rocks Overlook Area. Please consult Bear Rock's Cave for entry route coords. Lots of caches on the way up if you just follow the trail.
Many with four wheelers or snowmobiles are aware of this area. It is kept pretty clean and always CITO.
You are across the ridge from Bear Rocks. Just beyond the cache, on top of this rock set, is a great view of town when not raining like today. There are many caves and crevices to fall into. Please don't bring small children here, they are on the food list up here. There is nothing in the cache for children. Please help keep it that way. After dark, all cachers move down the food chain at least one notch.
To find the cache, stay on top of the rocks until you "zero out". Look down. Figure it out. (OH Yeah, look down a lot, don't follow your arrow over a cliff) You will absolutely climb on your hands and knees to find it. Please make the extra effort to rehide really well. This area is popular. But those that use it have explored it a lot and I hope will overlook this spot. Please don't leave it exposed. 50 cal ammo can with books, kitchen nicnack, videos, santa (Last one!), a travel bug, "25 yrs of bliss", a miniature tea set and I don't remember.
Now that you are in the crack/crevic/cave, note there is a way down. Go for it. Lots to see and do here. Caution required everywhere. You are in bear, snake, bobcat, coyote and perported mountain lion country. Travel in groups. Remember, you only have to be faster than one of them.
