"Blitzing" The Forks Event Cache

Come one, come all for Winnipeg's first group caching event!

Some of the informal group caching that's been happening lately has been a lot of fun, so this event is a way of ensuring everyone hears about the outing and has the opportunity to join in. This will be a relaxed evening that's about finding some caches and socializing with your fellow GeoCachers.

Where: The Forks
When: Thursday, May 25 at 5:00 PM
Meet: Outside the Salisbury House on the Esplanade Riel (the coordinates above)

Optional Supper:

Where: Old Spaghetti Factory in the Forks Market
When: 8:00 PM.

If you'd like to join the group, please post a "Will Attend" so the evening's coordinator will know if everyone's present before heading out. This will be an informal event, so if you need to join up part way through the evening, please make arrangements with somebody else that's signed up and has a cell phone so you can meet the group at one of the caches. If you have to leave early, that's fine too, we'll understand :-)

To save on the environment, we'll be doing the walking tour. There are seven caches planned for The Forks group caching event that amount to about 5 km of walking. The caches are:

1. Eye of the Man (Cathedral Illuminations)
2. Emmer's Cache
3. On the Waterfront
4. No.1 Northern
5. Upper Fort Garry Gate Cache
6. Fountain Promenade
7. The Forks

Of course active caches in the vicinity of The Forks may change between now and then, so check this page periodically for updates!

FTF’s are more of a solo venture, so if it happens that a FTF comes up for grabs, if the group finds it, the group may claim it. If someone wants the FTF for their own stats, they should go earlier and get it.
