Located at the stunning snow rimmed Tsomgu Lake in the Sikkim
region of India. Long scramble up a snow covered boulder strewn
hill. Altitude of cache is 12517ft. Rewards include seeing the
prayer rock up close and stunning views of the lake below!!!
Cache contains a logbook, mechanical pencil (DO NOT REMOVE), Baht,
Dollar, keychain. Container is a plastic candy jar with a blue lid.
Hidden quite well. Permits and guide are needed to visit the lake
as it is a religous and military area near the Chinese, Bhutan,
Nepal border. You DO NOT NEED A GUIDE to take you to the cache
though. It's probably better to go alone and more peaceful too!!!
Access to the mountain can be obtained by asking politely to pass
through a small shop or walk around the shops. Bring a camera and
ride a yak around the lake for fun!!! One of the most beautiful
places in India!!!
Small note on cache maintenance: Cache is
maintained by a trustworthy guide from Darjeeling with whom we are
in phone contact with.
