Determination Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Lostboy1966: After a maintenance check, the original hide was found to have been pretty much trashed. I'm achiving this one, and replacing it with something new for the next GeoJamboree.

Geocache Description:

Placed for Geo Jamboree IV, which will be the first that I attend. I look forward to it!

Mother Nature can be very determined. When I was scouting out a spot for a new cache in Kettletown, I came upon a tree that was a prime example of this determination; it was going to grow, and nothing was going to stand in its way! I decided this would be my hide spot.

The container is a 30-cal Ammo Can that has been ‘tweaked’ with camouflage, though it is labeled as a Geocache on the outside. FTF prize is a commemorative button and a coupon good for a ‘Wandering Walking Stick’ Travel Bug (See my Profile for details). It also contains some trinkets that cachers should find useful, and some shiny ‘diamonds’ that kids will enjoy.

Oh, by the way, the container is padlocked..

The key is hidden less than 15’ away from the container, but I won’t tell you in what direction. It’s in an orange waterproof matchstick holder. How hard could it be to find? All it will take is some Determination!

Please be respectful of the environment while searching, and cover your tracks well. The key can be recovered with zero disruption to the natural surroundings. Kindly place the components back as you found them so that the next cacher can enjoy the hunt.

Have fun!
