The cache is located near a small bridge along Old Highway 410 that spans Perry Creek just west of Mud Bay.
For a concise history of Highway 410 west of Olympia, please refer to cache “Old 410, The Lost Highway”, GCVDCC. It is quite interesting to peruse and will give you an insight as to decisions made by the former State of Washington Department of Highways. Continue to take a drive west along this former US and state route and get a feel for the narrow concrete roadway along with the turns and straight-aways until it ends around the bend at SR 8.
