SquareD22: going, going, gone...

CRAKE, if you are listening, It should be interesting to see what happens to the rest of the coins logged in here. ALL of the ones I had still in my possession I logged out last weekend, and logged into the Epimedes cache where they got distributed at the Pig Roast event. I have a few that I will be placing that will obviously show I have them. The rest that are still showing at the CITO event have been handed out. HMMMMMM......[D]22

Geocache Description:

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE DIFFICULTIES WITH DATES, THE HIDDEN DATE REFERS TO THE DATE OF EVENT(SEE ABOVE). ALSO ON THE RHODE ISLAND PAGE THAT ANNOUNCES THE EVENT, YOU WILL SEE THE DATE 5/20/06!!!

Come one come all!. CITO at Sandy Point Beach in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Help with our part of cleaning up our environment, This is the time of year that it is really good to get out there and Pick up TRASH! For your efforts in making this a successful CITO EVENT, you will have the opportunity to help distribute the new 2006 Rhode Island GeoCoin that is trackable at GC. It has been produced by a Rhode Islander who has been transplanted to Texas. However he decided to put 100 of these coins into caches in Little Rhody! As the producer of the first RI geocoin, I worked out a plan with CRAKE to get these new coins distributed in RI, but thought as part of the distribution, why not get together for some CITO!!!

A note from CRAKE:

As a small part of this event how about some effort to get some trackable coins moving in the wild. 100 activated RI coins will be distributed to attendees so that they can place them into caches. The coins should be placed into caches of all levels of difficulty, and then logged as placed at Geocaching.com. With any luck the coins will stay alive for quite some time! Thanks to everyone who participates in this event - I wish I could be there, as I miss RI very much and would love to meet everybody! +Chris

So you get the idea, I will be handing out coins to attendees, you fill a bag with trash and you will receive GeoCoinage to get into circulation in RHODE ISLAND CACHES! If you accept coins, you are agreeing to log them, get the cool icon, and place them into caches! That’s the deal!

Sounds like a great time to me. I will provide trash bags, bring your own gloves, tools, rakes, and implements of destruction and do your part for the world and for GeoCaching.

Hours will be 9:00am to 11:00am. Come from far and wide, after the CITO, there are plenty of caches in the area to find. But don’t forget, you are putting the coins into RHODE ISLAND CACHES!!!

Hope someone can bring the donuts!

Rain date is the next day.
