Geocache Description:

Small - very well hidden - cache located next to the Souadabscook Stream in Hampden. Parking coordinates are: N 44° 45.528 W 068° 51.380.

This area can be accessed from the Papermill Road. If you're coming from I95 take the Dysart's - or Coldbrook Road exit.
(If you're travelling I95 Northbound: take a right onto Coldbrook Road)
(If you're travelling I95 Southbound: take a left onto the Coldbrook Road)
The Papermill Road is approximately 2 miles or so on the right. From there follow your gps to the parking coords.

(Alternate Route: The Papermill Road can also be accessed by the Emerson Mill Road which is the road immeadiately after the Dysart's Truck Stop on the left. Drive approximately 2 miles and you'll see the Papermill Road on your left. Follow your gps from there to the above parking coordinates.)

The cache is located close to where Amy took swimming lessons as a kid. The area is much different than it was 25+ years ago! It's definitely not in 'swimmable shape' now.... which makes it 'the 'OL swimmin' hole'!
The Souadabscook Canoe/Kayak race is held on this very stream every year in the beginning of April during spring high-water.

We were thinking of placing it closer to the beach area itself but as we scoped out the scene, it looked to be well used by muggles, so we decided to place it slightly out of the way. FYI: The area is closed at sunset, so sorry, no night-caching. This cache is hidden very well, so you'll have to put on your thinking cap and search diligently. The cache is small, but can hold small signature items & coins. It also contains a small logbook & pencil.

After you find the cache, be sure to check out these coordinates on the trails nearby:
stream beach: N 44° 45.484 W 068° 51.499
falls: N 44° 45.549 W 068° 51.458

And if you still can't find the cache after looking at the hint, drop us an email and we'll help you out.
