In April of 1856, 5 Benedictine Monks traveled to central Minnesota from Saint Vincent Abbey, Latrobe, Pennsylvania. They came to establish what was to become Saint John's Abbey and later Saint John's University, and Preparatory School. The cache is located in a funny little isolated triangle of land in the very corner of Saint John's property. You might be surprised at what you find here. I have included a trail map of the Saint John's Arboretum (http://www.csbsju.edu/arboretum ) in case you're interested in taking more of a hike.
