Der Col des Mosses verbindet das südlich gelegene
Aigle (unteres Rhonetal) mit Château d'Oex im Norden (Pays
d'Enhaut). Die ganzjährig befahrbare Strasse ist grosszügig
angelegt. Auf ihrem südlichen Abschnitt bietet sie wunderbare
Aussichtspunkte (teils mit Bänklein zum Loggen), auf der Passhöhe
findest du unter 2000 Parkplätzen sicher auch einen freien für
dich, damit du die sensationelle Ansicht der umliegenden Berge
geniessen kannst. Dann, im nördlichen Abschnitt führt die Strasse
durch die Gorge de la Torneresse, einer tief eingeschnittenen
Schlucht (ebenfalls mit einem Lookout bei N 46° 26.826 E 7°
07.150).
Situated in the heart of the Alps of the Caton Vaud, sorrounded by
numerous magnificent mountain peaks is "Col des Mosses". It
connects Aigle in the South with famous Château d'Oex in the north
of it. Its easy access is open throughout th year. You will enjoy
wonderful lookouts riding up from south (some of them have got even
a bench to sit down and log), the huge mountains on the pass itself
and descending on the north part you may have a look down into the
"Gorge de la Torneresse". There's a lookout too at N 46° 26.826 E
7° 07.150.
