A lovely circular walk on very quiet lanes above the beautiful Wye Valley.
You start by parking up in Redbrook, England at one of two free car parking areas close to the Two Bridges (N51 47.142 W002 40.435) and crossing the footbridge into Wales. If you approach from the Welsh side, head for Penallt and then the "Footbridge".
The Two Bridges is a name my son gave to the pub (The Boat Inn) because of the footbridge and the old disused railway bridge that run side by side over the River Wye.
The walk takes about 90 minutes and the first half is a climb to Penallt where the Inn at Penallt (formerly the Bush Inn when the cache was placed) can easily be found. You can relax here and admire the views whilst supping a cold beer, happy in the knowledge that A) you've earned it, B) it's all downhill from here and C) the cache is yet to come.
The entire walk is on very quiet country lanes, except for the cache itself, which is located in a quiet spot.
Once in Wales your starting point is N51 46.880 W002 40.675.
Take the 3 digit number "DP nnn"
A = First digit
B = Second digit
C = Third digit
Now do the arithmetic.
D = A + B
E = A + B + C
Head to N51 4D.EBE W002 4C.EBB to find "a place to remember".
X = Number of letters in the very first word
Y = Number of lines of text (count all lines)
Z = Number of letters in the third word
Now is a good time to pop over to the Inn at Penallt and enjoy a slurp while you enter the co-ordinates N51 47.X5X W002 40.YZ3 into your GPS.
Finally, head to the cache and enjoy the walk!
