Geocache Description:

An easy walk along part of the Red River. May be muddy in parts.

Called the Red River due to the contamination that used to flow in it from the old Tin mining days. It comes out at one of Cornwall's most popular beeches at Gwithian. If you went swimming there back in the 1970's or earlier you would go home red, not from sun burn but the mine waste from the river.

This cache can be approached in two ways.

For a walk of a mile each way along the route of the Red River, PARK HERE.
OR
For a Cache & Dash PARK THERE.
