Geocache Description:

This cache is located at the Delaware Museum of Natural History located at 4840 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE. It does not have to be done as a puzzle if you use the bookmark list on the right.

The Delaware Museum of Natural History hosts a variety of nature science events throughout the year, and has permanent displays of dinosaurs, birds, mammals, and shells.  We really enjoy visiting this museum, and could not resist placing a cache here.  The Natural History Museum is a great way to spend a few hours, learning a few things, and now you can grab a geocache too!

Unless you are a member, there is a fee to enter the museum grounds.
Adults: $6; Children: $5; Seniors: $4

Museum Hours
Monday - Saturday: 9:30AM - 4:30PM
Sunday: Noon - 4:30PM

The coordinates above are for the entrance to the museum. To find the actual location of the cache, it will be necessary to find the answer to the questions below.  All the answers to the questions can be found at the museum or by researching other sources.  The cache is located on the museum grounds and should only be visited during business hours after paying the museum admission fee.

A= In 18A1, Sir Richard Owen first used the term “Dinosaurs” to describe the fossils of large reptilian animals.

B= In 199B, Luis Chiappe of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County discovered a vast nesting site in a remote area of Argentina. The site was named Auca Mahuevo.  Alternate clue:  How many days of the week is the museum open?

C= The Hsisosuchus is a C foot long fish-eating crocodile.

D= Animals can be classified by how they eat. There are carnivores (meat eaters), herbivores (plant eaters), and omnivores (both meat and plant eaters). How many different types of eaters were dinosaurs?

EE= The Delaware Museum of Natural History has a collection of over EE,500 clutches of bird eggs and associated data.

FF= Leopards can weigh up to FF kg.

G= How many humans were alive at the time dinosaurs roamed the earth?

The cache container is a .30 cal. ammo box and initially contains a dinopenny, some dinoballs, dinoeggs, and a VHS tape of "The Lucy Show" (talk about a dinosaur!!)

Checksums are 34 and 28, calculated by adding together the individual digits of the coordinates (ie. 3+9+A+B+C+D+G=34).

(Note by MikeOtt) dinobalz has left everyone a present in the hint section that gives the final coordinates so the cache will still work with changing museum exhibits.
