Follow FR289 to a hairpin curve at N35.71243 W106.38413. Park your car and hike 4 miles to the waypoint near St Peter's Dome Trail.
To get to the cache, go 2.8 miles North of the little shopping plaza at the village of Cochiti Lake to FR289. Take this road to the hairpin curve at N35.71243 W106.38413. Park your car and start hiking St. Peter's Dome Trail. After about 4 miles you will approach Cerro Picacho, a large peak on the West side of the trail. The cache is an ammo box nestled in a rock formation that is a little ways off the trail.
Note that this is a pretty rough trail at times. We went as a boy scout troop and we all agreed carrying 30-40 lb packs over this is brutal. I recommend a day hike with a nice lightweight camelbak.
Initial Contents:

Several other little things that I can't remember.
Good Luck! It will take work to get to this cache, but it will be well worth it.
