Located in Indian Springs Preserve the terrain is wooded and mountainous. However the cache is located along a gravel road so access should be easy when the road is open for car travel
This cache is located in the Indian Springs Preserve just off a 2 track gravel road and about .5 miles from the hard road. During certain times of the year the gravel road will be blocked to traffic so you will need to walk the .5 miles to find the cache. However most of the year you can almost drive right to the cache. This is a public hunting and recreation area so please be mindful of others. The cache is a standard ammo can that we painted cammo with a gray spray painted Geocaching logo to notify others of its contents. This should be an easy find for the experienced. The only reason I gave it a terrain of 3 is because of the infrequent road closures which will merit a hike.
This cache contains a bunch of kids items from my daughters. Please keep it a clean family oriented cache. My 5 and 6 year old hid this (with our help) so this should be a kid friendly cache during the months when the underbrush is not too thick. During the summer the ferns could be thick which may not be kid friendly, but that depends on how your kids feel about the woods. This is a beautiful area, and I would recommend the hike down to the creek (if it is not dried up) It is a nice area to hike around in.
