Monte Santa Tecla - A Guarda - Pontevedra. Fácil de encontrar. Castro celta, espectaculares vistas río Miño, Galicia, Portugal, Atlántico...
"A Pedra Furada" es una roca con el interior hueco en el cual cabe una persona y que tiene una abertura hacia el oeste a modo de ventana. Está en el Monte Santa Tecla (A Guarda - Pontevedra) [345 m.] desde el cual se pueden contemplar unas espectaculares vistas y puestas de sol: desembocadura del Río Miño, Portugal e Insua, así como visitar su famoso castro Céltico-Romano (uno de los más importantes de la Península). A pesar de ser éste uno de los lugares más visitados de Galicia, esta "pedra furada" está fuera del itinerario típico que realizan los turistas.

Existen varias formas de llegar a este lugar por los múltiples caminos existentes en este monte. La descripción que aquí se realiza es la del más corto:
Podemos subir en coche por la carretera que parte de "A Guarda" y sube al Monte Sta. Tecla hasta que ésta termine (en el pico San Francisco donde se ubica el hotel Pazo). Aquí aparcamos y bajamos a pie por la carretera hasta la primera curva (donde se sitúa un mirador y un aparcamiento para autocares). Desde aquí (328 m. altitud) cogemos el sendero que se inicia al lado de una farola. Bajamos con cuidado y continuamos por él pasando por una par de rocas de curiosas formas que dejamos a nuestra derecha (hacia el mar). Un poco más adelante (205 m) el camino gira 90 grados a la derecha iniciándose una bajada pronunciada (si volvemos la vista atrás en este punto podemos observar restos del castro celta). Al final de esta bajada nos encontraremos en un cruce de caminos (el camino que sale a la derecha nos llevaría al poblado celta que habremos visto al subir en el coche). Seguimos bajando unos 40 metros hasta encontrarnos con otro cruce. Aquí cogemos el camino de la derecha y continuamos unos 150 metros hasta la "Pedra Furada" (243 m. altitud).
El acceso al Mte.Sta.Tecla es gratuito si se sube a pie.
Pero si se hace en "vehículo" se paga 0,80 por adulto y 0,30 por niño.
El acceso a vehículos es gratuito desde el 9 de Diciembre hasta Semana Santa y todos los lunes el resto del año.

"Pedra Furada" (galician words for "hollow rock") is a rock with a hollow -where a person may get into- and a west gap, kind of a window. It is located in Monte Santa Tecla (A Guarda - Pontevedra, 345 meters height), a mountain which offers spectacular views of the estuary, the portuguese Insua island, the Atlantic ocean and amazing sea sunsets, as well as its famous celtic-roman settlement, one of the most important ones in Spain. The mount Santa Tecla is among the most visited places of Galicia but this hollowed rock lies away from the usual itineraries done by tourists.
There are several ways to reach this place by walking on foottracks.

At A Guarda we drive along the road that goes up to the mountain until it ends in San Francisco's peak, where Hotel Pazo is located. We leave the car in the parking and walk back some meters towards the last turn. There is a spectacular viewpoint with bus-parking in front of it. Here (328 meters height) we follow the foottrack that begins close to a lamppost (Additional Waypoint 1: N 41° 53.242 W 008° 52.277). After descending carefully the first part, we go on and leave a couple of curiously shaped rocks at our right (towards the sea). A little further (205 meters) the track turns 90 degrees to the right and a pronounced slope begins (if we see backwards we may observe part of another single celtic construction). At the end of this slope we'll be in a crossroad (Additional Waypoint 2: N 41° 53.157 W 008° 52.270) -the right track would take us to the main celtic settlement,the nice one we've seen from the car-. We continue way down approximately 40 meters more, until we find another crossroad (Additional Waypoint 3: N 41° 53.134 W 008° 52.287). Here we choose the right track and after walking 150 meters we finally arrive "Pedra Furada" (243 meters altitude).
